South Africa's hunting season is in our winter June, July & August (also depending on state and species hunted) however, we hunt high fence areas stretching over 15 000 acres. By law regulations we may hunt high fence areas (7ft High) from 1 Jan to 31st Dec. The areas must be no smaller than +- 1000 acres. None of our areas are under 2000 acres and the smaller areas are normally low fenced areas.

    - Are there any licensing or permit requirements for hunting in South Africa.

You only have to have a valid hunting license for the province (State) you are hunting in. Your professional hunter and outfitter will take out a license on your behalf.

Generally, packages can range from $3000 upwards. Hunters come in all shapes and sizes. Just like anything in life, having a moderate fitness level will help. We accommodate each hunter to their specific needs. We have even had clients in wheelchairs as well as clients that are blind! Anything is possible!

    - Rifle-Specific Questions:

    - What is the recommended rifle calibre for the game I'm interested in?

We as guide’s and outfitters prefer .30 calibres just on the fact that our game are more lean compared to game species in the northern hemisphere and the hydrostatic shock doesn’t do as much justice compared to an elk or mule deer as an example. This does not mean we dislike any other calibres but do chat to us about your calibre choice and the species you want to target.

    - How much ammunition am I allowed to bring for the hunting trip?

A maximum of 50 rounds per firearm is allowed to be brought in on your trip.

    - Do you have rifles available for hire, and if so, what calibres are offered, and what is the cost?

We most certainly do, we have small calibres for kids, 223rem, 243win, we also have .17hmr &.22 for small game such as porcupine and the tiny ten species. We also have .308win, 30.06, .300win, .300wsm as well as .375H&H and .416rig for the dangerous game animals. Rifle hire ranges from $70 to $120 per day including ammo in moderation.

    - Logistics and Location:

    - How far is the drive from the airport to the lodge?

From East London airport to the hunting camp is about 2hrs drive.

    - What is the size of your hunting area?

Our main hunting area is approximately 15 000 acres and within a 2hr drive from camp we have access to close to 150 000 acres of hunting land, high and low fence areas.

    - What is the average shot distance for the game in your area?

Most shots for rifle will range anything from 100 yards to 600 yards depending on the terrain and the client’s capability and comfort.

    - Additional Services:

    - Do you offer spot and stalk bow hunting as part of your services?

Yes we do. We often come across scenarios where we see animals is a “stalk-able” area where we have to take what nature provides.

    - Are there additional costs associated with specific services or amenities?

In your package we do not cover your airfare, taxidermy bill, gratitude’s for the staff if you wish to be so kind and your shipping bill of your animals you harvest with us.
