What type od game can we hunt ? 

We offer a wide variety of game species — far too many to list here! The best option is to request our full price list or view some of our featured hunting packages on our homepage.

When is the hunting season in South Africa, and when is the best time to come?

Our traditional hunting season runs during winter (June–August), depending on the province and species.

However, because we operate on high-fenced properties (minimum 7ft high) over 15,000+ acres, we’re legally allowed to hunt year-round (1 Jan – 31 Dec). None of our areas are smaller than 2,000 acres, and smaller properties are generally low-fenced.

Are there any licensing or permit requirements?

Yes. You’ll need a valid provincial hunting license for the area you’ll be hunting in — but don’t worry, your professional hunter and outfitter will arrange this on your behalf.

What does a hunting trip cost, and what’s included?

Our packages start from $3,000 USD and include:

What is your cancellation policy?

A non-refundable $1,000 USD deposit secures your dates.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

🧭 Guides, Safety & Fitness

Are guides provided, and are their services included?

Absolutely. You’ll be accompanied by a qualified, experienced guide at all times — fully included in your package.

Are there any safety rules or guidelines to follow?

Your guide will brief you on all safety measures. Rifle safety is our top priority, and you’ll always be under supervision.

How physically demanding is the hunt?

We tailor every hunt to the hunter’s ability. A moderate fitness level helps, but we’ve successfully hosted hunters of all abilities — including those in wheelchairs and even blind hunters. Anything is possible!

🏹 Rifle & Bow Hunting

Do you cater for both rifle and bow hunters?

Yes — we guide both rifle and bow hunters and can even switch methods mid-hunt if opportunities arise.

Are all types of bows legal in South Africa?

Yes, all bow types are legal for hunting.

What draw weight do you recommend for bow hunting?

We recommend 65 lbs and up, but we accommodate women and youth hunters according to their draw capabilities.

Do you provide bow blinds?

Yes, we have elevated, ground, and pop-up blinds, as well as makeshift blinds when we identify high-activity areas with trophy-quality animals.

🔫 Rifle-Specific Information

What rifle calibre do you recommend?

We generally prefer .30 calibre rifles because African game tends to be leaner than Northern Hemisphere species, reducing hydrostatic shock. That said, any well-placed shot with a suitable calibre is effective — talk to us about your preferred rifle and target species.

How much ammunition can I bring?

You may bring up to 50 rounds per firearm.

Do you have rifles available for hire?

Yes — we offer a range from .17HMR and .22 for small game to .308, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .300 WSM, .375 H&H, and .416 Rigby for big and dangerous game.

Hire rates: $70–$120 per day, including a reasonable amount of ammo.

How far is the lodge from the airport?

Approximately 2 hours’ drive from East London Airport.

What is the size of your hunting area?

Our main hunting area covers 15,000 acres, and within a 2-hour radius we have access to nearly 150,000 acres (both high and low-fence).

What’s the average shooting distance?

Typical rifle shots range from 100 to 600 yards, depending on terrain, visibility, and your comfort level.

Yes. We take advantage of every opportunity that nature provides, including spot-and-stalk scenarios.

Are there extra costs I should know about?
